A New Look for CALL

If you are familiar with CALL, and if you are reading this, you know by now that CALL has a new website and a new look! We are excited about these changes. It's always good to refresh your appearance; we feel recharged and refreshed as we reach out to support school and district leaders across the country!

CALL Makeover

Here's a "Before" and "After"

Here's a bit more about the new CALL logo:

We have maintained the original color scheme of green, blue and orange, and added some new shades of those colors. As a result, we have five rings of colors, which represent the Five Domains of CALL that are part of the standard school-level leadership assessment: 1) Focus on Learning, 2) Monitoring Teaching and Learning, 3) Building Professional Learning Communities, 4) Acquiring and Allocating Resources, and 5) Maintaining a Safe and Effective Learning Environment.

Also, each ring is composed of many dots, which represents the foundational framework for this work: Distributed Leadership. In an education organization, we need to look beyond the role of the primary formal leader in order to assess and support leadership effectively.

Lastly, for those who have spent time on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, the design may resemble the iconic chairs at the Wisconsin Memorial Union. CALL was developed and validated at UW-Madison. We are proud of the work we have done there, the support we received there, and our connections we still have with UW faculty and staff.

Let us know what you think of our new look!
